Getting Started with Spyglasses
Welcome to Spyglasses! This guide will walk you through the process of setting up Spyglasses for your website and help you understand how to get the most out of our AI agent detection and analytics platform.

Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- Access to your website's code or admin panel
- A Spyglasses account (you can sign up here)
- Your website's domain name
Step 1: Create Your Account
If you haven't already, create a Spyglasses account. During the signup process, you'll be asked to provide:
- Your email address
- A password
- Your company or organization name
Once your account is created, you'll be directed to the Spyglasses dashboard.
Step 2: Add a Property
A "property" in Spyglasses represents a website you want to track. To add a property:
- From the dashboard, click "Add New Property"
- Enter your website's domain name (e.g., example.com)
- Click "Continue"
Spyglasses will generate a unique API key for your property. You'll need this key for the integration process.
Step 3: Choose Your Integration Method
Spyglasses offers different integration methods depending on your website's platform:
For Next.js Websites
If your website is built with Next.js, follow our Next.js integration guide to add Spyglasses to your application.
For WordPress Websites
If your website is built with WordPress, follow our WordPress integration guide to add Spyglasses to your site.
For Other Platforms
Support for other platforms is coming soon. You can get early access by signing up for an account.
Step 4: Verify Your Installation
After integrating Spyglasses with your website, we will mark it verified once we confirm data is flowing from your site. This usually takes just a few minutes from the moment you configure the plugin.
Step 5: View Your Analytics
After verification, you can view your analytics data in the Spyglasses dashboard. The dashboard provides insights about:
- The types of AI agents visiting your site
- The companies these agents represent
- The intent of these agents
- Traffic patterns and trends
