What is the AI Placement Value Score?
The AIPVS is a 0-100 score that combines a domain's organic search authority with its accessibility to AI assistants. It tells you how much combined value a media placement on that domain delivers in both traditional search and AI-powered discovery.
How is it different from Domain Authority or Domain Rating?
Traditional metrics like Moz DA and Ahrefs DR measure organic search authority only. The AIPVS adds two AI-specific layers: whether AI assistants can cite the domain's content (citation accessibility) and how influential the domain is in AI training data. A domain with a high DA but strict AI blocks will score lower on the AIPVS because its AI discovery value is limited.
What data sources does it use?
The score draws from DataForSEO for organic authority metrics, Common Crawl for web graph structure (250M+ host nodes), Similarweb and Cloudflare Radar for AI platform market share, and live robots.txt analysis with infrastructure-level verification.
Can I use my own domain authority data instead?
Yes. Through our API, you can supply your own organic baseline (such as Ahrefs DR or SEMrush Authority Score) and we'll apply only the AI impact layers. You can also request just the AI Impact Multiplier — a number between 0.40 and 1.00 — and multiply it against any metric you choose.
How often are scores updated?
AI platform weights are reviewed and updated quarterly as the AI market evolves. Organic authority data is refreshed at least monthly. Access verification is based on live or recently cached checks.
